If you’re anything like me then the thought of a life without sweet treats feels like torture. These chocolate brownies are so fudgy and packed with flavour, I actually prefer them to my Gran’s family famous recipe. But don’t tell her that! I’m always on the look out for alternative ingredients that mean I can cut out refined ingredients and look after my body whilst still enjoying food. Because I am a real foodie. These chocolate brownies are really simple and quick to make but that fact doesn’t compromise the taste at all. This batch makes between 12-16 brownies (depending on the size you cut them!) and have an average of 191 calories each so they’re really easy to fit into your daily nutrient count.

 

Chocolate Brownies Easy Recipe Ingredients:

125g dark chocolate

40g coconut oil

3 eggs

100g organic coconut sugar

130g ground almonds

30g cocoa powder

Pinch of salt

Hand full of dark chocolate chips (optional)

Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together. In a separate bowl whisk the eggs and coconut sugar together for roughly 1 minute. Pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir (don’t whisk). Next, stir in the ground almonds, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt. Add the dark chocolate chips if you want extra fudginess. Cook on 180 for 10-15 minutes. Leave to cool before cutting up or dive straight in and enjoy super gooey chocolate brownies with a cuppa.
